Hi Everyone,

I want to thank everyone for a very successful season. Sunday night was a great wrap-up to competitive portion of what we do. I look forward to putting the final ‘bow’ on it next Tuesday. Following are a few announcements.

Thursday through Saturday – Support the students in the fall play.

Friday 11/18 – Football vs. Shippensburg @ L-S. Report to the band room at 6:15. Parents are also welcome to join us playing in the stands as we’ll be missing several students due to the fall play.

Monday 11/21 – Come celebrate a great season together with dinner at Ci-Ci’s between 6pm and 8pm. Be sure to mention that you are with the L-S band when you pay. This is not mandatory and is open to all L-SMB members and their families. Ci-Ci’s is expecting us but there is no need to RSVP if you are coming. I hope to see everyone there!

Tuesday 11/22

1:30pm Performance at Hans Herr.

Recognition night at the PAC.

Hi Everyone,

I always say how proud I am of our community in the way that we all (not just band parents) support other programs. This note below came to me from Dr. Peart, which came from E-town’s band director. Great Job!!!

Good Evening,

I wanted to take a moment express our appreciation to your school district.  Our experience at the Elizabethtown/Lampeter-Strasburg football game was wonderful.  I was overwhelmed by how well our band was received by your fans and band.  It is clear that you have established an environment where the arts are a highly valued part of the educational community.  I would also like to let you know that the L-S Marching Band was the best group we have seen perform.  Please feel free to forward this to your staff, students and Board of Education.

Thanks for a great experience!
